Hardman Update

Yea for Michael and Angela! Another adorable child added to the family. Congratulations you guys! For anyone who's interested, I have jumped on the bandwagon and gotten a blog. Here's the address: http://www.hardmanfamilyblog.blogspot.com/ Katie, next time you read this, I need some insider information about some Dr.'s who do a lot of work at Primary. Do you know Dr. Sarah Winters? She is pediatric neurologist and I'm researching her. If not, do you have any other recommendations for developmenal pediatricians or pediatric neurologists? I don't know if you have much contact with anyone like that but I thought it would be worth asking. Thanks! Here are a few pics of our kids.

Hi Everyone,

We've been really sick here at our house. We've had the flu and everything. Yuck Yuck Yuck! But in better news. I had LASIK on Friday and I am recovering well. By the next morning, I was seeing better than 20/20, like 20/15. Yeah!!!! Anyway, I'm including some cute pictures I've taken recently. I loved hearing from you Katie! How exciting to be considering where you're going. Rhyan and I came to LOVE Indiana even though it was on the bottom of my list of places to go. I wanted North Carolina!

I know this is a bit of a shock.....

Now don't fall off the computer chair that you are sitting on or think that you need to visit an optometrist.... because yes, this is really Katie and yes I am really posting a blog. Hopefully, this works because it is my first. I feel like I should write that in a journal or something. February 19th- my first day of blogging! Anyways, it was good to read the posts and I apologize for my delay in contributing. (Please forgive me though as I dont even have the Internet!)

Well on to the news about Brock and I. Brock has been contributing to our news more than I. We are still planning on him going back to school for a Masters in August and we are just starting to hear back from the Landscape Architecture programs. We are accepted to Texas and Oklahoma so if not anywhere else that is where we will be but I will admit that those were not my first choices. It is very competitive to get into and only Utah State has the program here in Utah. So we applied to many schools besides the ones already named including Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Colorado, and me personal favorite-Florida!! Right now I could really go for some beaches. We will see though- it is going to be a really tough decision and I am really sad to leave my job and move although it does seem like an adventure too. Brock also just started a second job today just until August at a music shop down the street. They told him that he was way over-qualified!!

As for me, I am always at the hospital with those babies and I can honestly tell you that RSV is my nemesis! I am currently acting as a preceptor for a BYU nursing student that is in her final semester and am enjoying that aspect of teaching. I think that is it for us! Sorry this was kinda long but I guess thats what happens when you dont post!! Love you all and I will try to do better!! Love, Katie

Heidi Dates

So Hi. I have not been good at posting here. I really wanted to get all our cousins, Aunts and Uncles up here blogging, but its been slow. If I find any more email addresses I'll keep trying.

So I've been out with a guy named Daniel. He seems really cute and sweet but somewhat unsure of what he wants in life. hmmm... sounds familiar. I don't know. I just want out of the irritating single life. I just want to marry a good man who I love and have babies and a life together. Why is that so hard?

Okay. Enough complaining from me. Love you all!

New blog for our branch of the family

Hi everyone,
In all my spare time on the couch I've created a family blog to keep in closer contact with my siblings, and I thought I might as well let the whole family in on it, if anyone wants to see pics of the kids. The web address is www.michaelangelarigby.blogspot.com until further notice-- eventually we'll have a more customized blog on a different website that we own, but for now this one does the job!
Hope everyone is doing well!
Love,
Angela and Family

How is Angela?

Hi everyone! Just to let everyone know (and so Elisa doesn't have to wonder anymore), Angela is fine! I feel just fine, I just can't get out of bed or off the couch, Dr's orders. So, here's the story so everyone can know:

I went to my regular monthly appointment two weeks ago and just mentioned to the Dr. that I thought it was weird that I've had some contractions lately and instead of being random Braxton Hicks they were consistently 15 minutes apart. They would come every few days and last a few hours until I sat long enough to have them go away. The Dr. decided to do a fetal Fibronectin test and told me to take it easy until I heard back. Later that afternoon (as we were getting ready to host a Christmas party at our house) I got a call from the Dr. She said "Well, the test came back positive, so you are at risk for preterm labor and you need to go on strict bedrest. Only get out of bed to go to the bathroom and just be a slug. If you have 3 or more contractions in an hour take this medication and if you have 6 contractions in an hour head straight to labor and delivery."

Well, strict bedrest with two toddler boys running around is interesting to say the least, but so far we've been lucky. My little sister was home from college for the week before Christmas so she came over every day and helped out and then Michael has had this whole week off for Christmas and Michael's parents are here this weekend and are staying tomorrow while Michael is at work.... so, we'll see what happens after that.

I may be asking for help from the family down the road as I'm looking at another 10 weeks of bedrest before this baby is due. It'll be interesting to schedule out childcare for my kids and I feel terrible watching Michael take on all the housework and taking care of the kids and working full time when I feel perfectly fine but just can't do anything.

But, the good news is the baby is perfectly healthy and strong and is growing bigger every day. So, thanks Elisa and the rest of the family for your concern and prayers-- we really really appreciate it!!
Love you all,
Angela
