Baby Blessing

Thanks to everyone who came to our baby blessing and party yesterday! It was so great to see you all. Wish it could happen more often... but hey, we're already winning the baby race in this branch of the family, so it's someone else's turn :) Alright, so we'll just throw get togethers for other reasons. Anyway, you can see how darling our little baby and boys are on our blog- just click on the title of this post.

Here's a picture of the cake I made for the blessing-- fun little hobby. If anyone needs a cake, you know where to come :)
Here's our adorable little smiling girl, two months old already!

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine and warmer days as much as we are!

Army Crawl

Here's a video of my dad teaching Hyrum how to army crawl. In the end I think that my dad learned a thing or two.

Erika lost a tooth

Erika lost another tooth and looks absolutely adorable! She has been wiggling it for about a month now and this morning, I tried to wiggle it and it popped right out! She was very sad about this as it came unexpectedly and cried for about 10 minutes. She said it felt too weird. But after about 20 minutes, she decided that it was cool and felt much better about it.

Back from New York

Hi family,
I am back from New York. It was great fun! I loved it. There were all sorts of strange people, normal people, pretty people and some really.... different looking people. :D I was sad that I got sick on the second day so I was kinda in a fog for most of the trip, but I think it is beautiful and I will have to visit there again someday.

Love you!!!

I'm Off to see the Wizard!

Hi everyone!

I am so excited! I am off to New York City in about 2 hours!!!! Woo! I am going with the art department at school. I have been so excited that I couldn't sleep most of the night and I am sure I am going to regret that real soon here!!! I'll post some pictures here real soon!

Angela and Mike, I am so happy for you that you had your darling little baby!!! I promise I have not forgotten about your logos!!! I am probably the worst cousin in the world! I am trying to get better! I have a bunch of sketches but nothing polished yet. If you wish to beat me over the head, come to logan next week and we can arrange that!! ;) That way I can also meet the new baby! lol. Just kidding!!!

Anyways, So here's my very sad story about this weekend; I must sincerely apologize to Jenna for not calling until provoked by a text message laced with frosted guilt. ;) I really did want to join you and Justin at your party in Lindon. Maytag (the boy I am sorta dating) took me to this really great restraunt in Provo... It was an expensive place with the most delicious meats ever! I took about 5 bites of my dinner when suddenly my throat closed up!! I have never been alergic to anything, it's crazy. So I went to the ladies room to see if I could gracefully get over it.

Not so.

OOOOOHHHHHH so embarrasing! I was in there throwing up for nearly 45 minutes!! My date had to send someone in to check on me! I felt SO bad! I am so mad! That food was delicious! We finally decided that it was the mixture of the lemonade and the rich milky drink that did it to me and he said he would be very hesitant to take me to eat there again! SAD huh!

Oh well, At least my date was sorta understanding about the whole thing.

Jenna, I hope you can forgive me! Was the party any fun? Maytag said he loves sushi, so I felt real bad about our missing it.

Thanks

Thanks, Katie for the information. It is hard to find out anything but the cut-and-dry information about the Dr.s unless you know someone who has worked with them or been treated by them. So, I guess we'll just go and see. Thanks, though. Good luck with your husband's schooling. It's so frustrating to be in limbo. We'll be thinking of you though.

Updates

Hello all!! Well I am keeping with my resolution to continue blogging so here are the latest updates. Brock has heard from a number of schools about being in their landscape architecture program. We are accepted into Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, and Arizona. Unfortunately, we will not even be able to consider Florida (sadness) because they start in May and we are both committed to our jobs through summer. We are still waiting to hear from Utah State so basically we are still in limbo.

In other news, we are planning a trip to NYC to visit Brocks brother and family in May so I am way excited about that and am enjoying that planning. The planning that I should be starting is for Girls Camp since I am the director this year again but I am still procrastinating that one.

That is about it except for the exciting news of Michael and Angela's baby (who is seriously adorable might I add)!! I was so excited to see her and have my first niece!! I just love those babies!

Andrea, about your question regarding pediatricians at Primary's. I havent had any interaction with Dr Winters so I would not be able to offer any info on that subject. We dont see the neurologists too often. The other problem that I have on offering advice about pediatricians is that the most interaction I have with the doctors is the interns and residents who are training and the physicians who are hospitalists, meaning they only have the patients at the hospital. Once in awhile I see a community physician but I dont know that I know enough about them to recommend them or not. So basically, I am afraid I am not that helpful. Sorry about that! I could probably find out some basic information from the hospital on Dr Winters if you would like but you probably would have access to about the same info. Let me know if I can help any other way though!!

Well I hope to hear from you all soon and hope you are all healthy and happy!! Katie

Hardman Update

Yea for Michael and Angela! Another adorable child added to the family. Congratulations you guys! For anyone who's interested, I have jumped on the bandwagon and gotten a blog. Here's the address: http://www.hardmanfamilyblog.blogspot.com/ Katie, next time you read this, I need some insider information about some Dr.'s who do a lot of work at Primary. Do you know Dr. Sarah Winters? She is pediatric neurologist and I'm researching her. If not, do you have any other recommendations for developmenal pediatricians or pediatric neurologists? I don't know if you have much contact with anyone like that but I thought it would be worth asking. Thanks! Here are a few pics of our kids.

Hi Everyone,

We've been really sick here at our house. We've had the flu and everything. Yuck Yuck Yuck! But in better news. I had LASIK on Friday and I am recovering well. By the next morning, I was seeing better than 20/20, like 20/15. Yeah!!!! Anyway, I'm including some cute pictures I've taken recently. I loved hearing from you Katie! How exciting to be considering where you're going. Rhyan and I came to LOVE Indiana even though it was on the bottom of my list of places to go. I wanted North Carolina!

I know this is a bit of a shock.....

Now don't fall off the computer chair that you are sitting on or think that you need to visit an optometrist.... because yes, this is really Katie and yes I am really posting a blog. Hopefully, this works because it is my first. I feel like I should write that in a journal or something. February 19th- my first day of blogging! Anyways, it was good to read the posts and I apologize for my delay in contributing. (Please forgive me though as I dont even have the Internet!)

Well on to the news about Brock and I. Brock has been contributing to our news more than I. We are still planning on him going back to school for a Masters in August and we are just starting to hear back from the Landscape Architecture programs. We are accepted to Texas and Oklahoma so if not anywhere else that is where we will be but I will admit that those were not my first choices. It is very competitive to get into and only Utah State has the program here in Utah. So we applied to many schools besides the ones already named including Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Colorado, and me personal favorite-Florida!! Right now I could really go for some beaches. We will see though- it is going to be a really tough decision and I am really sad to leave my job and move although it does seem like an adventure too. Brock also just started a second job today just until August at a music shop down the street. They told him that he was way over-qualified!!

As for me, I am always at the hospital with those babies and I can honestly tell you that RSV is my nemesis! I am currently acting as a preceptor for a BYU nursing student that is in her final semester and am enjoying that aspect of teaching. I think that is it for us! Sorry this was kinda long but I guess thats what happens when you dont post!! Love you all and I will try to do better!! Love, Katie

Heidi Dates

So Hi. I have not been good at posting here. I really wanted to get all our cousins, Aunts and Uncles up here blogging, but its been slow. If I find any more email addresses I'll keep trying.

So I've been out with a guy named Daniel. He seems really cute and sweet but somewhat unsure of what he wants in life. hmmm... sounds familiar. I don't know. I just want out of the irritating single life. I just want to marry a good man who I love and have babies and a life together. Why is that so hard?

Okay. Enough complaining from me. Love you all!

New blog for our branch of the family

Hi everyone,
In all my spare time on the couch I've created a family blog to keep in closer contact with my siblings, and I thought I might as well let the whole family in on it, if anyone wants to see pics of the kids. The web address is www.michaelangelarigby.blogspot.com until further notice-- eventually we'll have a more customized blog on a different website that we own, but for now this one does the job!
Hope everyone is doing well!
Love,
Angela and Family
